In daily life, we often see some people are optimistic, while some people are pessimistic. Why is it so? In fact, the external world has no any difference; only the individual’s internal attitude towards life is different.
What can illustrate this is that I see a sign in front of the shop which sells the donut: “the difference between optimists and pessimists are very subtle; optimists see the donut, but pessimists see the small hole in the middle of the donut.” This short humorous sentence reveals the nature of happiness. In fact, people eyes cannot see the full things, only to find things they want to see. Optimists and pessimists seeking things are different, and thus for the same thing, they also take two different attitudes.
One day, I stood in a jewelry store counter, put a few books of the parcel lying on the side.
When a well-dressed, handsome man come in and had begun to look at the jewelry counter, I politely removed my package, but this man was angry at me. He said that he was a man of integrity, absolutely had no intention of stealing the parcel. He felt being insulted, heavily closed the door, and went out of this jewelry store. I was very surprised that such a careless action would cause him so angry. Later, I realized that we seemed to live in two different worlds, but in fact the world was the same, so the difference between me and him was just the opposite view of things.One morning a few days later, I woke up and had a bad mood, thought this day spent in the monotonous routine, I thought the world was boring. When I squeezed the car in dense array, moved slowly toward the city center, I was filled with anger to think: Why so many stupid could get a driver's license? They were either driving too fast or too slow, they were not qualified to drive at peak times, the driving license of these people should be revoked. Later, while I and a large truck arrived at a crossroads at the same time, I thought to myself: “This guy drove the big car; he would be straight across the road.” But at this time, truck driver put his head out the window, and beckoned to me with a cheerful, happy smile. When I left the intersection, my anger suddenly disappeared, and mind suddenly cheered up.
The truck driver’s behavior made me feeling like being in another world. But in fact, the world remains the same, the difference is our attitude.
